Itinerary Day01: Fly to Lhasa ---------------------L -----------------3* Xiongba-Lha Hotel
Taking morning flight into Tibet, upon your arrival, local guide will meet you and transfer you to Lhasa. On the way, you can enjoy the heart -- beating highland view along the Yalu Zangbu river (the longest river in Tibet, the lower reach in India is called Brham Putra river); in the afternoon, you are free .
Day02: Lhasa sightseeing ------------B/L ----------------3* Xiongba-Lha Hotel
In the morning, visit the grand -- looking Potala Palace, which was built in the 7th century for the King. In the afternoon, visit Jokhang temple and Tibet Museum. Then stroll in the famous local bazaar - Parkhor street.
Day03: Lhasa sightseeing ------------B/L ----------------3* Xiongba-Lha Hotel
Visit Tsepung monastery which is the biggest monastery in Tibet. Then visit Sera monastery and Norbulingka which can give you deep impression of Tibet arts and civilization.
Day04: Lhasa to Namtso Lake -------B/L ------------Lakeside Guesthouse (no toilet)
Drive about 5 hours to Namtso Lake (245km to the north of Lhasa). On the way, drive into a valley to visit the Home monastery of Karma Kargyuelpa (The White Hat) -- Chupu monastery. After arriving the lake, enjoy the glory of sunset over it. By the lake, you will view the peak of Nyianchentangula (7162m).
Day05: Namtso Lake to Lhasa ----B/L -------------3* Xiongbala Hotel
Enjoy the sunrise beside the lake, then driveback to Lhasa city; on the way back to Lhasa. go and doa tour to Karma kargyuelpa's home monastery - Chupu monastery; return to Lhasa in mid afternoon
Day06: Lhasa to Tsetang -------B/L ------------Tsetang Yalong hotel
Early departure from your hotel at Lhasa, drive 200 kilometers eastwards to Tsetang, the so named birthplace of Tibetans; visit Samye monastery on the way, which is the first monastery with organic, monastic structure and systmatical study on Buddhism.
In the middle afternoon, get to Tsetang city and do tour to visit Yongbulakang palace, the first royal building complex to the first king in tibet history.
Day07: Tsetang to Lake Yangdrok to Gyangtse ----B/L ------------- 3* Gyangtse Hotel
Early departure from Tsetang, drive westwards to Gyangtse by lake Yangdrok.
on the way, do tour to visit Mintorlin monastery (close to the ferry, located at Zhalang county)
Yangdrok lake is the the 3rd famouse holy lake in Tibet, which is right by the road to Gyangtse from Lhasa; the best place for watching the lake is fromt he top of pass Gangbala (4800 meters)
at Gyangtse town, visit the famouse Gyangtse Kumbum monastery (alsoe named as Baiju temple); in 1904, the tibetans fought agaist the invasion of British India soldiers under the leadership of General Yong Husband.
Day08: Gyangtse to Shigatse ---- B/L ---------------- 3* Gyangtse hotel or on the same level
Drive to Shigatse, visit Shigatse tashilunpo monastery, which is the biggest monastery in Rear Tibet and the perminent residence fro successive Panchan Lamas in history. This monastery is housing the world's biggest Bronze - cast Future Buddha with a seated position
in the rest of the day, free time for you to walk around to explore this ancient and mysterious city
Day09: Shigatse to Sakye temple to EBC ----- B/L ----------- Rongbuk guesthouse
Early departure from Shigatse, on the way to EBC, do tour to visit Sakya monastery at Sakya county (150 kilometers to the west of Shigatse city); Sakya monastery was the political center of Tibetan government in 12th, 13th and early 14th century under the political support of Yuan Dynasty (Mongonians); in late afternoon, arriving in Rongbuk monastery, the starting poit of all Mt. Everest mountaineers.
Day10: Base camp of Mt. Everest to Nyelam town ----B/L ------------Nyelam Hotel
After enjoining the magnificent view of Mt. Everest in the morning, leaving for Nyelam. If weather is good, 15km to the basecamp, drive through a river to take a short cut of the road and see different view around Mt. Everest. View on this road is exciting. 40km before arriving Nyelam, at the high point on Pass - Lalongla (5065m) is a marverlous site for watching Mt. Xixababgma (8027m) to the northwest, and Peak - Labgyekhang (7374m), beside it are another two with respective height of 7072m to its west, and 7094m to its east.
Day11: Nyelam to Zhangmu border then Exit China ----------- B
Leaving Nyelam town early down into the beautiful Zhangmu valley, upon your arrival, help you check out and send you to the friendship bridge.
